TVNZ- Jay-Z believes the hip hop genre has become “more mellow” because some of his peers are smoking marijuana.
“Public Enemy were a great force in the 80s. Chuck D was a powerful speaker and a great thinker. The intensity of life on the street in the 80s is right there in that mix. Hip hop sounds get mellower in the 90s, when people started smoking more weed,” he said.
Okay well maybe that’s not exactly what he meant. This article made me laugh a little, I can imagine Jay-Z shaking his head at all the young whippersnappers smoking these days. C’mon Jay remember when you “felt the high that you get from the La” back in 96? I’m sure Jay might still partake every once in a while, but he does make kind of a point. Although in my opinion, Rap hasn’t become totally more mellow, Stoner Rap has just spun off and become a huge sub-genre. You still got French Montana and the coke boys whipping up the white stuff, Gucci Mane and his other southern cohorts slanging pills in the trap houses, and Yelawolf guzzling whiskey and causing riots in the trailer parks, DMX still smoking crack and impersonating police officers. Rap is so diverse these days and fueled by so many different things, you can’t really generalize all rap as weed rap. But you can generalize that 98% of rappers are smoking weed, cause that’s what rappers do best!

Wouldn’t you know it, by the time I finally got around to deconstructing OMCA2012 [the Ohio Medical Cannabis Act], Grohio Attorney General Mike DeWine had beat me to it. Above and beyond the litany of “content flaws” DeWine found before summarily rejecting the amendment, the petition’s language was amateurish, written with a self-congratulatory tone — a double whammy that contributed mightily to its demise.

There is an online store out there that is making wallets covered in huge graphics and I love their new product. “The Totally Dope Wallet” is exactly that, totally dope. The wallet’s front and back are covered with a realistic image of a marijuana baggie.
The wallet sells from their online store at Store.TheWalArt.com for $ 15 dollars. It’s a %100 percent recyclable material that’s made with %100 percent Vegan friendly materials (no leather).
At first glance the image looks completely real. There are no doubt droves of people who have been fooled into believing that the dime bag on the wallet was the real thing. If the pot stash is empty occasional glances at this wallet is enough to make it seem like a stray baggie of glorious herb as just been discovered. Of course in reality you’ll still be out of weed, and probably broke too if that’s the case.

The RAND Corporation on Tuesday issued a report dispelling the myth that there are inherent links between medical marijuana distribution centers and crime. The study upon which the RAND report is based claims that crime was as much as 60 percent greater around medical marijuana dispensaries that had been shut down by the City of Los Angeles compared to those areas with open dispensaries.”[W]e found no evidence that medical marijuana dispensaries in general cause crime to rise,” said Mireille Jacobson, the study’s lead author and a senior economist at RAND.RAND’s study, which challenges the common claim that medical marijuana dispensaries promote criminal activity, affirms the findings of patient advocates.
